La Rhonde. Goliath. Travel Channel. Interested?

The Travel Channel is filming at La Rhonde, Montreal, Canada, on Sunday,
May 26. Filming begins at 7:30 a.m., and they need approximately 40 people
to fill the trains.

The add-on day to Coaster Con XXXVI, Pre-Con-in-Con-necticut takes place on
Saturday, June 15. (You need not be attending Coaster Con to

Coaster Con Regional Volunteers Needed! (\”The List\”)

Hi Everyone,

First and foremost, many, many thanks to those who replied to the initial
request for volunteers to help out during Coaster Con XXXVI.

This is a follow-up request which lists the positions available where
assistance is needed. Note that these volunteer opportunities are for
Sunday-Tuesday only, and take place at Six Flags New England, or the convention
hotel – The Sheraton Monarch Place Hotel.

If you are able to assist in any of these activities (or have already
indicated you would like to help), please reply to this e-mail. Indicate your
choice of activity for which you wish to volunteer [please note that it is
possible that you may not get your preferred shift]. Volunteers will be
notified approximately 1-2 weeks prior to the Con if you are needed to help
out (or sooner, if all positions are filled). This is the perfect chance
for those who have made mention that it\’s the same people who volunteer ALL
the time – well,,, it\’s YOUR turn!

The openings are as follows:

Sun.Jun.16 Hospitality table: Have knowledge of, or be willing to
assist in helping to find/learn about other interesting activities &
attractions while in the New England region. The table will also be manned by
the local Springfield Chamber of Commerce/Tourist Bureau (There will be 5
shifts of 1-hour each – please select your preferred shift below) 12-5 p.m.
At the Sheraton Hotel

Midway Olympics Registration: Take registrations for both the Adult
and the Kids Midway Olympics. (There will be 5 shifts of 1-hour each –
please select your preferred shift below) 12-5 p.m. At the Sheraton Hotel

Mon.Jun.17 Kids Field Day: Assist SFNE staff in the complete
organization and implementation of the games (e.g. 3-legged races, sack races,
etc.) 4 p.m. In the SFNE picnic grove

Tue.Jun.18 Midway Olympics Scoring: Need 10 score-keepers. 7:45
a.m. SFNE Games Area KIDS Midway Olympics Scoring: Need 5
score-keepers 10:30-11 a.m. SFNE Games Area Looney Tunes Party: This takes
place during the banquet – if you are attending the banquet, you cannot
volunteer for this opportunity. The number of people needed will be determined
by the number of kids attending the party. You may not know you are needed
until after Sunday\’s registration/check-in in complete. 6-9:30 p.m. At
the Sheraton Hotel
