Concerns about possible adverse weather conditions aside…..

Last call for anyone planning to attend the Story Land construction tour of
Roar-O-Saurus on Saturday, February 22. So far, the people listed below
have replied:

The plan: We will all meet up with Story Land staff near the main gate in
the parking lot at 11 a.m. (please allow adequate travel time). Then we
will drive up to an upper lot and walk into the park from there.

Lunch (pizza) will be in the maintenance cafe.

Bring your camera and your questions, and cross your fingers for great
traveling weather next Saturday!

I\’ll confirm with the park should the weather forecast be \’threatening\’,
to make sure the tour will proceed. If not, I\’ll e-mail everyone that is
planning to attend (and those planning to go, please e-mail me if your plans
change). Thanks!

Special Instructions: 2014 ACE Spring Conference Beech Bend Camp-Out

For those attending the Spring Conference, and also plan to camp out at
Beech Bend Park, please read the following from Paul Blick, ACE Events
Director:

Here are some special instructions for the 2014 ACE Spring Conference
Beech Bend Camp-Out. In addition to these instructions, a disclaimer/waiver
will be required for all campers. This disclaimer/waiver will be sent out to
conference attendees (that register with a valid email address) about a week
before the event. If you\’re planning on participating in the camp-out, you
will need to print out the disclaimer/waiver and have it filled out prior
to arriving to Beech Bend. This will help speed up the registration process
for you.

Beech Bend and I want everyone to have a great time at the camp-out and to
stay safe. So if everyone follows these special instructions, we will all
have an awesome camping experience inside Beech Bend Park & Splash Lagoon.

Special Instructions for the 2014 ACE Spring Conference Beech Bend
Camp-Out—
• The Park Official(s) and the Events Director has final authority.
• Participants MUST provide their own sleeping bag(s) and/or tent(s),
blankets, pillows, etc.
• No vehicles, campers, RV’s, motorized vehicles, golf carts, bicycles,
etc. allowed in the camp-out area.
• ALL participants MUST remain in the direct camp-out vicinity at ALL
times. Anyone leaving the camp-out area WILL be asked to leave immediately. NO
EXCEPTIONS!
• The available showers and restrooms will be designated to all
participants.
• In case of inclement weather, ALL participants will be moved to an
indoor venue at the discretion of park official.
• Participants may set up their tents, sleeping bags, etc. after 5 p.m.
and not before. Anyone not set up by 11 p.m. will not be allowed to camp-out.
NO LATE ARRIVALS!
• Participants MUST have everything removed from the camp-out area before
8 a.m. NO EXCEPTIONS!
• NO coolers, radios, cd players, televisions, alcohol, drugs, fires,
grills or candles are allowed.
• Cellular telephones MUST be on silent after 12 midnight. Cell phone
usage should be minimal.
• Smoking is NOT allowed in the camp-out area. A designated smoking area
will be available.
• Participants that choose not to sleep during the camp-out or get up
prior to 6 a.m. MUST be respectful of the other campers.
• Any participants under the age of 18 MUST be in the direct presence of
an adult guardian at all times.
• Rude, loud, obnoxious or inappropriate behavior will NOT be tolerated.
Those in violation will be asked to leave immediately.
• Participants must clean up after themselves and not leave any trash in
the camp-out area.
• ACE member family members & guests and their behaviors are the direct
responsibility of the ACE member. ALL campers must be registered attendees of
the 2014 ACE Spring Conference.
• Participants will be allowed in the breakfast area at 6:30 a.m.
• Any Conference attendee that utilizes the campground area with a RV,
camper, motorized vehicle, etc. shall adhere to all Special Instructions
listed herein that apply. (**Fees are required to use the Beech Bend
Campground.)
